MOVEMENT

 The main entry airport is Kota Kinabalu (KK) International Airport which is excesses able by direct flight or via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

 These are Malaysian Airlines operating from most cities:

1. Malaysia Airlines (MAS) – operates from most destinations.
2. Firefly – a subsidiary company of MAS operates local flights
3. AirAsia – This offers cheap airfare operating in most ASEAN cities and local flights.
4. AirAsiaX – a subsidiary company of AirAsia operates from major cities also providing cheaper airfares.
5. For the cheap flight please be aware to purchase excess baggage and meals via internet website.

 Pilots must book their returned flight and submit their flight details including date and time of arrivals and departures as early as possible. Failing which organizer may not provide airport transfers.

 Kota Kinabalu is 70km away from Ranau town and it takes about 1½ ~ 2 hours to travel to the hotel.

HOTEL
 Our official hotel is Heritage Resort and Spa which is a 4 star hotel situated 6km away from the site. It provides most facilities. Pilots wishing to have a single room must add another RM80.00 per night. Those wishing to select their room partner also must indicate to organizer. Couple who wish to have a single bed must also indicate to us early.

MEALS
 All breakfast and Dinners shall be at the hotel. Pack lunch shall be at the site. Other meals outside those provided can be purchase at the site or at the town.

CLIMATE
 Malaysia is situating just north of the Equator and maintains an average of 32 degree Celsius. It is hot and humid. Pilots do not need cold clothing. At Ranau, at night the temperature can go down to 18 degree Celsius.

LANGUAGES
 Most Malaysia speaks good English although the main language is Bahasa Malaysia or Malay. Most Chinese speaks Mandarin, Hokkien or Mandarin. Islam is the national religion but many other religions are freely practice.
